Building Efficiency Targets Playbook: Case Study of Shanghai Changning District
The Playbook provides an in-depth review of the case study of Changning District, a leading low-carbon district in Shanghai, China, which successfully implemented a voluntary existing building energy efficiency (EBEE) targets and improvement pilot program between 2013 and 2018.
This Playbook was made possible thanks to the Global Environment Facility (GEF), who provided funding for the development of this as well as other two playbooks in support of cities, both inside and outside of the Building Efficiency Accelerator (BEA), looking to advance the energy efficiency of their buildings in pursuit of greater sustainability. The Chinese version was coordinated and released by the ICLEI East Asia Secretariat.
