The Climate Card
ICLEI East Asia presents a new ALP case study on the Climate Card, Korea’s first integrated eco-friendly transportation subscription card. Designed to lower greenhouse gas emissions and ease commuting expenses, this Seoul Metropolitan Government initiative supports residents and visitors in choosing sustainable mobility options. Using the Climate Card, passengers can travel freely and conveniently across Seoul’s public transport network, including buses, subways, and Ttareungi, the city’s bike-sharing system.
This case study provides in-depth insights into the policy’s development, key benefits, and valuable lessons on low-carbon urban transport solutions.
