Apply for 2024 SHRDC Deep-Dive Learning Program!
ICLEI East Asia Secretariat and SHRDC have collaborated on international training programs focused on urban sustainability, co-organizing the capacity training program annually since 2016. In 2024, the updated program is aimed at public officials interested in inclusive urban development. It emphasizes a new approach that includes a “knowledge partner” scheme to effectively mobilize participants. The training program consists of an online e-learning model with mandatory pre-recorded lectures and an in-person Deep-Dive Learning Program for participants in Seoul in October and November 2024, coinciding with the Seoul Global Policy Sharing Forum.
Deep-Dive means Streamlined Integration of Online and Offline Training
According to Edgar Dale’s “Cone of Experience” theory, people remember 10% of what they read, 30% of what they see or hear through video, and 90% of what they directly experience through action.
Deep-Dive Learning offers offline training to top online participants, enhancing their understanding in Seoul.
In 2024, for Metropolis International Training Institute (MITI)’s 10th anniversary, SHRDC revamped its international training into the Deep-Dive Learning Program, integrating online learning with onsite training. Candidates can propose plans for more engaging and enlightening onsite learning.
